Joanna has been working in the medical field since 2014 and joined the Student Health Center as the Certified Coder/Insurance Plan Assistant in June 2025. Prior to WashU, she worked at Mercy while pursuing her Associates of Applied Science degree at Lewis and Clark Community College. In April 2025 she became a Certified Professional Coder-Apprentice(CPC-A) and graduated in May with her Certificate of Completion in the Medical Coding portion of her degree with honors and Phi Theta Kappa honors. She will graduate at the end of Fall 2025 with her AAS in Health Information and Medical Coding and plans to attend Maryville University for her Bachelors Degree in Health Information. Her free time consists of activities with her husband, 4 kids, dog, and reading.
