Patient assistance programs are available from many drug companies for those people who cannot afford to buy their medications.

Important notes: transfer requests
- Due to high volume of transfer requests at the start of the fall semester, please request at least one week before needing the medication
- Present a copy of prescription insurance card to the pharmacy prior to filling any prescriptions

New York residents: New York state law limits the ability to transfer prescription refills. Instead of a transfer, request that your provider call or fax new prescriptions or write them to bring to the pharmacy.

A wide range of generics are available that contain the same medication as their brand-name equivalents, at a much lower cost.
