Urgent situations

These problems should typically be seen the same day during our open hours. When the Student Health Center is open, call (314-935-6666, option 1) and leave a message including a student ID number and callback phone number so that the call can be promptly returned. For urgent psychiatric needs please call 314-935-6776.

Urgent, non-crisis situations that require medical evaluation as soon as possible include:

Significant pain (abdominal, head, neck, ear, chest, with fever)
Breathing problems such as asthma that is not responding to routine medications
Pain or difficulty urinating
Injury to extremity
Lacerations
Minor allergic reactions (rash, hives, without throat or breathing issues)
Sexual assault

For a more immediate in person response, you can visit a local urgent care center or emergency room.
